'ere we go, then

mm.. most peculiar. some of you have background, some of you don't, but that's the way it goes. Dori's the girl i currently like (5'5", brown hair/eyes, pre-vet, soph@CU), and i'm pretty sure she likes me. most of the time it seems this way (occasional hug, cuddle, a quick kiss once)--and my female friends say "scott, she digs you, i can tell" and "she likes you--girls can tell" and such.. sometimes i'm not sure, though, which is causing no end to my anxiety. i would like to know for certain, tho i'm not looking to force the issue. so i bide my time.
having seen her every evening for the last week and a half or so, i decided i wouldn't try to see her tonight, just to see what would happen.. i was hanging out at 120 (phill's house) like i'm wont to do, until murf went home, and joe showed up, and then erin appeared.. and i dozed off, to wake up around 1ish and discover dori there, which made me happy. now, i'm not sure if she came over cuz she likes hanging out at 120 or cuz she thought i'd be there, perhaps a little of both, but i wasn't complaining either way.
apparently she'd gone to bed immediately upon her return from work (~6pm) and spontaneously woken up around 12, then decided to come over to 120.. hung out for a bit, then decided she was tired again and i walked her home (took about a minute--she lives quite close. assuming all goes well, walking her home will become much more of a pain come the school year, cuz she's moving down to west and i'm still on north--anyone who's been to Cornell's campus knows how much of a pain that is) then came home myself.
so. overall, things with respect to Dori are going quite well, i think. hopefully they will progress further, and i'll have good news to update with :)

in other news.. i'm sore from fencing tuesday, and expect to be more sore when i wake up in the morning. damned 8-5 schedule.. it was quite simple when i working 8-5 at Hi-Speed; now i've got 8hrs/wk of class thrown in (EE 301: Signals and Systems. fun, neh?) and so it's 18hrs at Hi-Speed, 15hrs at ResNet, and 8 in class per week.. got a test next friday, too.

sleep calls.. earlier than usual, but hey, i'm tired and i'm allowed :)
y'all should e-mail me or quickdot me so's i can stay entertained at work (in addition to doing the problem set that's due tomorrow afternoon, that i haven't started yet. naturally.)

ok, wtf.. it was 53 degrees out when i got up this morning. In Ithaca. In July. It's been hot enough to merit going swimming less than three times this summer.

back at work again.. hopefully i'll have time before 5 to finish the probset i have due then, that i haven't started yet... fortunately, my campus job rarely requires any actual work :)

it's nice having a prof that accepts excuses for turning in homework late.. (this is my 2nd time using "my work schedule will prevent me from getting it in by 5pm")--really, i should just start the homework earlier

AIM increased the max buddy list size! i don't know what it is, but it's over 150 now.. and i was at that limit, so it does in fact matter =)

and with direct connection, you can record 10sec voice messages on the fly and drop them into IMs.
