First stop today, FAA again, where we had to move the library I set up last week, get them to run alternate power that should already have been in place; and configure the connection to hosts which weren't attached yet. Quality.
Second stop, lunch. Mmm, Chinese Buffet.
Third stop, OrbImage, a subsidiary-ish of Orbital. A whole lot of cool satellelite photos on the walls, and a nifty satellite command center. Also, cute girls. And Linux hosts which weren't seeing tape drives properly, which took Rob and another employee most of the afternoon to kind of fix.
Fourth stop, parents' house, after battling heavy traffic on 28S.
Fifth stop, Winchester, to pick up Shauna for Thanksgiving break, including a) heavy traffic on 66W--all Gainesville's fault!--and the fun of dark, drizzly, foggy, unmarked pavement. Gah! However, spicy buffalo wing chicken jerky = tasty. Also, Reese's peanut Pieces = tasty. But not together. :)
Sixth stop, the parents' again, featuring dinner, House, and Adult Swim.

kitiara: The Coalition to Prevent Assault Weapon Violence: "[To prove that assault weapons do cause crime], we obtained the above "Colt AR-15" assault rifle from a local death merchant and configured a web-cam and lighting to monitor it 24 hours a day." :D
Dude! I just learned (via
abz6598) that the USPS has a new feature--11"x8.5"x5.5" Priority Mail boxes, weight limit 70#, flat rate $7.70. That's crazy, yo.

jwz: A delightful set of textbook disclaimers. Viva evolution! (And be sure to read more than the first couple rows!)
