Super-quick recap, 'cause it's in the middle of when I should be asleep. :P

  • Drove out to site 1 in Sterling, met Rob, found the site, learned they weren't expecting us until Wed. Went to office.
  • Drove out to site 2 in Sterling, spent too long dealing with what should've been a simple problem but wasn't.
  • Called parents, drove to Manassas, picked up two pumpkins at Safeway--$3.88/ea.!--and drove to parents'. Hung out there, dad managed to get my work laptop onto their wireless network, I did a bit of work-related filing, emptied the pumpkins, and had homemade beef stew and Monty Python Holy Grail Ale with dad and Matt. Carved the smaller of the two pumpkins, to excellent effect (even I do say so myself); dad took photos that I'll get copies of soon; I WD-40ed, saran-wrapped, and refrigerated my pumpkin to hold it for a week, then drained and WD-40ed the five pumpkins my family carved recently that've been sitting outside for a few days and are starting to mold in a rainbow of spottiness. :P (I recommended bleach and a tarp, if refrigeration wasn't an option.)
  • Drove home, poked around on both laptops for a while, caught up on LJ, caught bits of various TV shows Nathan was watching late into the night, and dozed off downstairs before waking up to make this post. :)

Same with Safeway! Rows and rows, all along the floor below the produce shelves, all manner of sizes and shapes, mostlyt excellent color and quality (including those funky white ones.)
