Gorgeous day, so the motorcycle came out from under cover for the first time in, oh, a week or so. Rode up to Springfield Mall for birthday shopping for Steph, where I managed to find a nice pewter pocket mirror with a Celtic design, as well as an amusing book titled Feng Sh*t: The Art of Domestic Disorder.
Met family at the Crabhouse in Fair Lakes, had all manner of tasty food--starting with fresh-baked bread, chowder chock full of clam plus bacon, and an assortment of appetizer, and continuing with their cold seafood bar (several kinds of crab, oysters, crayfish, seafood salads, regular salad, etc.)--and plenty of innuendo, since my end of the table featured Shauna, Jen, and Matt. ;D Incidentally: Rock crab, though quite impressive to look at and rather sizable--not so flavorful.
After dinner we headed back to Manassas, meeting again at the Coldstone Creamery. Now, I'd heard rave reviews of the chain before, but I'd never made it to one--and it deserves all the praise it's gotten. Freshly-made ice cream, mixed into one of dozens of tasty concoctions (or mixed to order) on a stone slab right in front of you.. awesome. More excellent ice cream than any of us could eat, for $2-$4. (So, we got lids and took the rest to the freezer at home. :] )
Hung out at my parents' for a while, delivered birthday goodness, played with kitten, headed home around 22. Now, very tired.

visgoth: AP clearly shows their bias on the AWB sunset. CNN does likewise. (And according to CNN, it's the minority's fault that the majority doesn't get out and vote. Must be pinning 'em down with assault weapons, I suppose.)
