Got the job got the job whee!
Got a call from Arnie at ADIC, saying that the final paperwork had been signed, and they could offer me the job!* Huzzah! He then explained how the salary** and some of the benefits worked, and we talked about some related stuff. Of course, I accepted, and HR will FedEx me the hardcopy of the offer package by tomorrow or Friday, and I should be starting Tuesday!
First person to know was Christine (by IM), then my mom (by phone), who handed the phone to dad, IMed Shauna, and called Steph. :D
I invited Christine to have celebratory dinner with me, but she'd just agreed to dinner with Erika, so I'll be joining them for drinks at Galaxy Hut in Arlington around 20. =)
Huzzah!
* I'll be a Field Service Engineer, dealing with configuration and troubleshooting of large data storage networks in gov't and private facilities around the DC area. There'll be some training in Colorado, too.
** 80% base salary + 20% commission. Commission is based on regional sales/support quota performance, and generally runs 70-80% of the 20% mark, but occasionally breaks 100%
