Just watched The Butterfly Effect, and thought it was pretty good. Good (thought not original) concept, nifty special effects, good soundtrack, and I thought Kutcher was a good fit for the part--not the Funny Man he often plays, but a gawky college student struggling to deal with a barely-comprehensible situation. (I'll admit I wasn't thrilled by the final resolution, but I suppose it fit.)

I don't think I have the stamina anymore.

I pointed out that he could buy a package starting at $99, which might help.. :D

I haven't seen it yet, since it's not yet off two-day rental at my Blockbuster, and I don't trust myself to get things back that quickly, so don't give anything away, BUT. I know there's an alternate ending on the flip side of the disk, and maybe you'd prefer that one?

Hmm.. I watched the director's cut. Maybe I'll have to watch the end of the theatrical cut, see if I like it better.

It is! I do prefer the theatrical release ending--still kind of sad, but much more plasible.

That's the one I've heard was better. :] I really can't wait for it to come off red at my store. Saturday was doubly exciting for me in that on top of us getting in Diet Coke with Lime, I also got to take Secret Window off red, and it is currently patiently awaiting me to find the time to watch it. I've been dying to see the movie ever since I started working there. :]

That one I saw in the theater, and it was good. :)

And that's what I get for not deleting notifications I've already replied to, heh. ;P

Hopefully I'll get around to watching Secret Window, but the chances aren't looking too good so far, unless I watch it with people I'm hanging out with at SBU on Saturday...

I'm going to see Hero with Nathan Friday! Woohoo!

Now that half of the people I'd normally go to see movies with are back to living at SBU, my chances of going out for movies are dramatically lessened. :[ If I didn't get free rentals from work, I'd probably be sadly movie-less for the semester...

Sounds like me through most of college, except for the occasional cheap (and often esoteric) movies in the student unions.. and lots of DVDs some summers.

I'll have to keep that in mind whenever I get around to renting it. :]

And by "plasible," of course, I meant "plausible." :D
