Still no word from ADIC, despite voicemail left for my HR contact yesterday, and I'm considering calling the local office at which I interviewed 8 days ago (and where they told me I'd hear back within a week.)

Oh, and true to form, State Farm is probably going to drop Nathan's policy because he's had, gasp, two claims in the past 2-3 years.

I wrote the rest up this morning, so I suppose I should post it. :)

Straight Talk! from White House West in Crawford, Texas, with Will Ferrell
(A quasi-legitimate, if humorous, effort from America Coming Together :)

I have one of these! :D

I'm mildly amused, but not surprised, that my "2 cliques of size 8" are entirely APOers. :)

And last night's dream:
I was in college, and attended my first two classes of the semester. In them, I was assigned a problem set in one and a paper in the other, due several days later. Naturally, I procrastinated.

Later, I was at home, where Tim Terriberry (as Professor Farnsworth from Futurama) was trying to convince my housemates that a cleverly-packaged low-tech audio device was high tech, and that higher tech versions didn't exist. I showed him for a fraud, tearing into his device to show the audio tape player within, but he still denied it and barricaded himself in his room. I went to watch TV (on DVDs! high tech! Tim claimed they are fake) while procrastinating more on my homework, and considering the ramifications of turning in my two first assignments late.

The only problem with the whole getting dropped by state farm thing is that he will be labeled high risk, and will have to pay more for his policy with a new company - and he will have a hard time finding coverage. Most people view home owners insurance for use only in catastrophic situations. Paying for these small incidents out of pocket is usually worth it. But....it's not my house, and they aren't my finances. =)

Unfortunately, he already filed the claim, and it's too late to retract it. (And what my parents found was that it wasn't hard to find coverage, it was hard to find any coverage but high-risk. :P)

(It's also not my house or my finances. ;)
