The streets are running with wankers

Summernats certainly brings out some fine examples of men with something to overcompensate for.. filling the streets with their whiny and/or turbocharged hot rods, the -occasional- quality machine, and far too many extra people overall. An unfortunate side effect was that Insomnia resembled a typical bar full of rowdy, noisy guys, a JD promotion with Britney-clone girls to promote, and almost no glowsticks to be seen, nor good music to dance to. Additionally, they were carding everyone who came in, and unlike all previous nights where I could either walk right in or present my VA driver's license, I had to walk back to the hotel to fetch my passport, as my license wasn't acceptable. :P icbm, on the other hand, was about the same as always--crowded, pop/dance/Top 40, and Kit/Bella/I danced a bit down there, while I was intermittently distracted by The Fast and the Furious--appropriate, no?--on the big TV with subtitles. :)

Thus, sometime before 3, I caught a cab back to Jillian/Oscar/Kit's with Kit and Bella, pet their cat (Mr. Jingles) for a while, rode my bike back near Insomnia, hung out with Jillian & Alex & Jason for a few more minutes, then headed home to sleep--work today (Saturday) at 9am, after all.

After work--whenever that is--I'll probably go check out Summernats and take lots of pictures of nice cars. :)
