Started off the morning by copying the wrong address for the install site; made a lot of U-turns and address checks before getting ahold of the customer and learning where I should've gone, about 20 minutes away. Got there, slapped in the new parts.. and one drive was bad. Ordered a new one at 1145, delivery by 1345. Unfortunately, it wasn't there by 1445, when we had to split because the customer had to go. By that time, pretty much everything else was in order, except the library persists in thinking it has eight drives when only seven are present. However, my cell phone's batteries had died by that point, so I had no numbers to call anyone to figure it out, or to call back another customer, or to call Shauna.
Next order of business, heading out to Winchester to pick up Shauna and Chris. Called parents to pass on that message, headed out around 1500. Took two and a half freaking hours to go the ~75 miles, due to heavy traffic on 495S and 66W until I could escape to 50W. Picked 'em up, headed to get Shauna a haircut while Chris and I played at GameStop, Radio Shack, and Circuit City, for at least an hour until she was done, then back to Manassas, where family and dinner awaited. Unfortunately, plenty of quality family time (and residual fatigue) means no movie night at
electricsoup's, which would've been fun too. :)
Tomorrow, if I recall correctly, cookie party at SSB's! Suppose I should make some cookies. I'm thinking the Neiman Marcus cookies from that urban legend email, because I've made 'em before and they're really good. :)
(Also, gah, about 200 LJ entries and two days of comics behind, since yesterday morning.)
