HAHAHAHAHA!! Microsoft say IE "is no less secure than any other browser and doesn't lack any important features,"--HAHAHAHA--and that Firefox poses no threat, and that IE users just don't want the features other browsers have--pop-up blocking, tabbed browsing, that sort of thing. Who'd want those trifles?

I was chatting with Rainie and Shauna when it came time to head over to the open bar, so I unplugged the laptop and took it with me. Chatted with Cliff (regular) and Derry (bartender), then with Angelo (been here a while)--showed him photos of motorcycles and dogs in my gallery, which he liked all of. I then struck up a conversation with an older guy--Bill?--about his German shepherd (who was at his feet by the fireplace in the hotel), other dogs, ferrets, Manassas (Civil War references), and flying, before returning to my room. It's kind of nice being a regular, where the staff and half a dozen other guests know your name. :)

Wow.. check out Rick's photos from his ride around part of Lake Superior back in September.. gorgeous!

Last day of class done, certificate in hand. Now, off to find plans for the evening, and get ready to go home in the morning! (Well, to the DC area by late afternoon, then to Matt's to see if we can salvage files from my PowerBook, then home.)

A Marriage Tale:
Big Macho Man married Pretty Little Woman, and after the wedding, he laid down the following rules:
"I'll be home when I want, if I want and at what time I want-and I don't expect any hassle from you. I expect a great dinner to be on the table unless I tell you that I won't be home for dinner. I'll go hunting, fishing, boozing and card-playing when I want with my old buddies and don't you give me a hard time about it. Those are my rules. Any comments?"
His new bride said, "No, that's fine with me.

So I left my hotel room around 1730, hung out at the hotel bar until about 1930, then hung out chatting with Knowlton at the front desk until about 2130, as well as some other guests, about music and assorted other topics. (Chatted with John twice and Sarah once, too, but they were occupied by Sarah's last-day-at-current-job festivities with coworkers, then fatigue, so no hanging out with them tonight.)

Now, I think I'll take his suggestion and head north a bit to the Cool River Cafe, a lounge with no cover, live music, great pool tables, and a generally relaxed atmosphere, or so I hear. :)
