Lesson for the morning: Get down to breakfast too late, and your choices are: oatmeal, cereal/milk, fruit, and coffee. Admittedly, that's as good as you get at some hotels for breakfast, but the usual fare includes eggs, sausage, French toast, bagels, Belgian waffles, cut fruit, and occasional other items.

I forgot how strenuous a day of snowboarding can be, especially if you haven't been in a couple years.. I'm sore head to toe, even my arms! And sometime on the way home yesterday, I started to get a headache, which refused to go away. I figured I was dehydrated, due to playing at 10-13,000 feet in dry air, even though I drained half a Camelbak, but I then had more water in my room, and more water (and no alcohol) at the open bar, but it wouldn't go away. Then, while waiting for Rainie to call me back when she got out of rehearsal, I napped for a couple hours, and -that- didn't help, so around 2200 when we were both pretty beat and my headache wouldn't let up, we called off our evening plans of hanging out. Fortunately, a night of sleep kicked the headache.

I can't sign onto AIM!

Finally got back on AIM, though I still don't know why I couldn't before. (I logged in via AIM Express on my XP laptop, as neither Safari nor IE.mac would allow it, until my regular AIM let me back on.)

Forgot to mention that at Sancho's Friday night, I got props from quite a few guys for my kilt. :) (And just now, I took the time to find [livejournal.com profile] utilikilts and add it to my friends list and interests. :)

This evening, dinner with Sarah and John! (She called me back a bit ago, after a very hectic week which left no time for a callback.)

Current weather in Denver: 68ºF and 17% humidity. Gorgeous! (And just yesterday, I was snowboarding. :D)

If you aren't reading already, which I'm sure most of you aren't, head over to [livejournal.com profile] vnsexed, [livejournal.com profile] the_alchemist's NaNoWriMo novel in progress, and get yourself added so you can read it. :)

Thursday night:

I was at a multi-floor club, 9:30-style in design (balconies surrounding a central dance floor) but larger, with a pub feel (old oak, low lighting, etc.). I was walking all over. I needed to find bathroom, but there wasn't one on the 3rd floor.

I had four books in my possession that needed to be returned, but an adversary had taken them. He offered four others in exchange, and had a legal document I didn't want to sign regarding the exchange. I ran out of building and through a long, poorly lit parking lot and adjacent access road with chainlink fence between, weaving back and forth through gates (to evade pursuit) to my truck. I tossed the books in, and went back around the outside of the club to front door again.

Later, I was driving around, and found building I'd seen before near some woods, that had been converted a to truck stop. I backed into a long parking space. Inside, it was more like a hostel/cabin than a truck stop. People's stuff was all over floor (including clothing laid out to dry) and around the room perimeter; there was a toilet public to the room, and a small private shower stall. I knew my bicycle used to be there but I couldn't find it.
