Choir concert, non-Pope, Too Sexy
Apr. 22nd, 2004 01:55 amRode to Manassas, had some chili, joined family in jaunt to Winchester/SU. Listened to ver' nice concert by the Shenandoah Conservatory Choir and Chamber Choir, featuring works by di Lasso, Palestrina, Britten, Hindemith, non Papa*, Brahms, and Fleming. Went to Ruby Tuesday, which was surprisingly slow for being so empty at ~11pm. Had a ver' tasty Chocolate Tallcake. Returned to Manassas, pet the kitten, rode home, caught up on LJ, may catch up on comics before bed.
* Clemens non Papa was composing (and famous) at a time when a man named Clemens was Pope. Lest the church-going public think their Pope was also a composer, he adopted the moniker "Clemens non Papa"--Clemens, not Pope. :D
Snape's too sexy!
