Stupid criminal, smart criminals: sebatical offers a news article about a student charged with dealing drugs to police wearing police jackets, as well as a UTexas police warning about a sneaky ATM scam, authenticated (and fleshed out) by Snopes.

You can now see the damage to my bike and gear from my accident back in October.

You can also see photos from the party chez Doug and Tenoya, including [most or all of] Steve, shogunmouse, slyx, vtferball, meekstranger, a lot of Miller Lite foam fingers, a blue spider monkey, and many of Violet--'cause hey, she's hot. ;) (She also reminds me of weyakin.)

Oh yeah! I finished reading The Little Prince today, and if you're a grown-up, you'd do well to read it. :) (It was a birthday or xmas gift from Shauna, and is one of her favorite books. :)

Welding, B horror, presents, and fun links

I get to weld again at work! Huzzah! (It's called a "refresher course," but I and other members of my training class didn't actually finish it the first time due to lack of materials.)

Blockbuster's copy of Dawn of the Dead is still out, so Christina brought over a copy of Jeepers Creepers. Ah, B horror. ;)

Oh yeah! I got my birthday present from Melody in the mail today--originally sent to Australia, it arrived after I'd left and was returned to her. The main/best part is a new copy of Metallica's S&M album, which I had originally won from a WVBR call-in at Cornell, adored, and lost; the copy Cari made for me was all right, but the 2-second gaps between the tracks really interrupted the live flow--also, I didn't have the photos included in the insert. So now I have the real deal again! (There was also a little lion, and two cards, all of which were cute. :)

A good evening, and food galore

Christina, Jeepers Creepers, Chinese delivery, and the entirety of Metallica's 2-CD S&M album. :)

(Nathan didn't have such a good time with his delivery. He got home just after our order arrived, called himself weak, and placed his own order. However, after a half-hour or more had passed, he called back and learned that they'd placed it as Carryout by mistake, and it was at least another half an hour before his order arrived.)

I now have leftovers from three different restaurants in the fridge--sirloin and mashed potatoes from Damon's, jambalaya pot pie from American Cafe, and General Tso's chicken with fried rice from Taste of Beijing.
