A Well-Attended Cue

By an interesting coincidence, almost every single person I've met at Cue was present tonight, including several who I've managed to miss for a month or two. Becky, Bob, Moira (knew from HS, but saw semi-regularly here), Nick, dulcevox, Ray (last visit for a wihle, as he's moving to NC), Kelly, the cripple, Tony, Mark, Cosmo, Suzie, and of course djkangal and Paul. I think that only leaves out belleingenue and beastinme for regulars I met there, and seeking_insight as a missing regular (back at school).

From Moira, I learned that Liz Tucker is getting married. With Bob, I was highly amused by the terrible English subtitles of the Chinese movies on the screen, some of which featured Chow-Yun Fat, and by the very drunk boys and girls who looked like they'd wandered in on the tail end of a pub crawl. Why into an industrial/techno night, we'll never know..

And now it's much later than I should be up, as I have work in a bit over five hours, but I had a good time, it's only one night, etc, etc. :)

From djkangal: Universal Music Group Reduces CD Prices
In a press release Wednesday, Universal Music said it will reduce wholesale prices and implement a $12.98 manufacturer suggested retail price on virtually all of its top-line CDs in the U.S.
The plan will eliminate MSRPs of as much as $18.98, and the company believes retailers will start offering the cheaper CDs as soon as Oct. 1.

A sports car which can travel on water at the touch of a button has been given a test drive on the Thames. The convertible Aquada Sports Amphibian, which can reach up to 100mph on land, uses a jet to propel it through water at speeds of over 30mph.
