In a discussion with [livejournal.com profile] macguyver the other day about a phone booth he'd won in an eBay auction, I learned of the Mojave Desert Phone Booth. I'd never heard of it before, so he pointed me to a Google search, which led to Deuce of Clubs's page--the man who found it and made it famous. Alas, PacBell and the National Park Service have since removed the booth, but it's a damn fine story.

From [livejournal.com profile] dancing_ferret in [livejournal.com profile] cue_club:

Since Assemblage 23 is listed as an Interest of the community, perhaps some of you would be interested in picking up the next issue of Asleep By Dawn magazine, which includes an interview with A23 about the bands that changed Tom's life, (plus Type O Negative, Pigface, Emily Strange and lots more). The magazine is free and comes with a free CD (tracks by Iris, Mortiis, The Last Dance, ThouShaltNot, Advent Sleep, more).

You can request a free copy of the mag at www.asleepbydawn.com

And I have done so. :)

[livejournal.com profile] profworm wrote a story of sorts based off a character I used to play in the Werewolf; The Apocyfoolishness setting. I really liked it, and recommend it to you all, especially if you like medieval/feudal/pagan tales.

Read the posted chapter!

In more mundane news, I worked 8-4, and learned that one of the older, non-wiser, whining, hot-headed other Petsmart employees quit in a huff yesterday. As I understand it secondhand, the story goes like this:
