Good/Bad/Ugly

The Good: futuregirl pulls off an excellent April Fool's prank, in one neat post.

The Bad: Corey Clark kicked off American Idol (yesterday, mind you) for previously undisclosed criminal offenses.

The Ugly: LJdrama and the Abuse team pull off an elaborate prank, involving conspiracy with LJdrama, various abuse members, various non-abuse members, osetensibly suspended accounts, and violent fighting in #lj_support.
xb95 was in on the joke.
halfawake was not.
Neither was theslut.

You see why this isn't funny? I saw a couple abuse people getting more and more upset over the last few days, and I thought something serious was actually goddamn going on. I was upset on their behalf, though I couldn't do anything about it. People woke up today to find their friends' and some communities' journal suspended, rumors of terrible happenings in Abuse, confidence shaken, and it's all a fucking joke?

That shit just isn't funny.

Now, mind you, I'll be over it in a day. I'm not leaving Support, I'm not holding a grudge against anyone involved, but I think the whole charade was in terribly poor taste.
