Particular Nathan's group, Under the Beltway, performing this Friday and Saturday night at the Stage Door Restaurant and Bar at 1324 King St, Alexandria, VA, at 8:30pm. I literally fell off my seat (once) and nealy choked on my beer (once) I was laughing so hard. If you're in the area, I highly, highly recommend it, and may be back Saturday night myself. (The only problem, of course, is that I work at 7am (<5 hours at this point) Saturday and 8am Sunday.)

Drove out there, arrived about 10min late due to traffic on 495 bound for 95 South (unlike me), discovered a) the $9 cover and b) I'd left my wallet in my truck a block away, so I went to get that. Paid, had a couple beers, and generally laughes my ass off for the whole show. Afterwards, met some of the other troupe members and some random club-attendees, then hung out chatting with Nathan, another guy from the troupe, and one of the club/café employees, about vision correction (lenses and surgery--the troupe guy was formerly employed by an optometrist's office) and the war on Iraq, primarily. Had another couple beers in there somewhere. Eventually split (when the café was shutting down, though the club was still open), drove back home in a very tired state, took care of the dogs, and came home. Now, posting. Will shortly plug UtB in [livejournal.com profile] nva and [livejournal.com profile] washingtondc, skim/read friends list, and go to bed, getting up around 06.
