Went to bed around 3am, got up around noon or 1 when my computer crashed and Shauna needed me to log it back in. I think the problem is with DeadAIM, even with the upgraded release--still a memory leak that eventually wanders into forbidden territory and breaks things.

Going to see Chicago with parents&Shauna in a few minutes.

Oh yeah! Finally got an overdue (backordered) Xmas present from Steph&Matt: A set of four #include <beer.h> glasses from ThinkGeek :)

Weather seems to be gorgeous, so truck work should get done this weekend--and maybe some motorcycling! =)

Chicaaago

Chicago was good! Interestingly, my mom, amended by dotgirl and bluekitsune, tell me that a) neither Catherine Zeta-Jones Richard Gere nor Renée Zellweger had ever professionally sung/danced prior to this movie*, but b) the main reporter, Christine Baranski, was a pro at those. Gere plays an excellent slimy lawyer/tapdancer, and Zellweger also sings/dances quite well. (And, I didn't actually recognize C Z-J until the credits. Oops!)

Also, the weather is gorgeous. :)

I suppose I should eat before I go do anything else--haven't done that yet today. :P

(no subject)

As the weather was so nice today, and I needed to take care of Steph & Matt's dogs and fish, I decided to take my motorcycle instead of my truck.. it was so nice to ride again! (Of course, almost getting stuck in a muddy rut in the yard-that-will-be-a-driveway-eventually wasn't so fun, but I got out.) While I was out, gassed up and ran a couple errands, too, to extend my time, but then it was getting dark and drivers were getting stupid.

Then, I was hanging out with my dad as he worked on his computer, having some Sam Adams Cherry Wheat and pretzels, when mom/Shauna called in and asked us to meet them at TGI Friday's. Finished our beers and headed over; dinner was damn tasty. (Ribs, chicken, salmon, and shrimp, among the four of us.) My dad and I each had a Guinness and a Newcastle; for dessert they had cheesecake and I had a Mudslide (vanilla ice cream, vodka, Bailey's, and Kahlua--so good!). I was then pleasantly fuzzy. :)

Got home, Shauna got the computer for a while, I drove out to let the dogs out again, and then regained my computer as Shauna went to take a nap. :)

Also, Shaye was online briefly! Apparently she's going to get her new laptop soon and thus be online at home--wherever that is--which will be cool. :)
