Steph and Matt watched 24, season 1, episodes 5-8 last night without me--forgot to call me up. :P So, I went over tonight to borrow disc 2 to catch up, and because Matt had dozed through some of it last night, we watched episodes 5-9 there. Soo good! Would've watched more, but Matt has to get up for work around 6am. And next time, they'll try to remember to call me up when they want to continue. :)

Anonymous No More On AOL?

NEW YORK - Warning to anonymous critics on Internet chat boards trying to sink stocks: We may soon know who you are.

At least that's the message from a Virginia Supreme Court ruling yesterday rejecting an argument by the America Online unit of AOL Time Warner (nyse: AOL) that, under the first amendment, it does not have to disclose the identity of one particularly opinionated investor among its 35 million subscribers. The subscriber, known now only as scovey@aol.com, had written on a Yahoo! (nasdaq: YHOO) bulletin board that Hong Kong manufacturer Nam Tai Electronics (nasdaq: NTAI) made "low tech crap," among other opinions. AOL now has ten days to either unmask "scovey" or appeal the decision.

"We feel very strongly that online speech is protected by the first amendment," said Nicholas Graham, an AOL spokesman. "We're considering our legal options."

It's one of those hidden laws, see, and should stay that way!

Makes me want to smack his smug, wants-to-stay-ignorant self. I'm much more inclined to agree with the pundits who feel this country is far too sexually repressed--not all "social norms" need to stay the way they've been.
