skreidle is like a normal armband, but it detects police sonar.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] zannah via [livejournal.com profile] dotgirl. :)

Incidentally,
  • scott michael kreidler is a sheet of paper! It tracks infra-red!
  • scott kreidler is a lunchbox that makes clicking noises! It doesn't take no for an answer.
  • scott is a towel that can be used on the move!
  • cu stryker is an energy drink that mimics its user, can light cigarettes and keeps children amused
  • mjrstryker is a robotic dog that must be replaced every morning! It is bigger on the inside than the outside.

Man, this is even better than They Fight Crime!

From a friend's AIM profile.. mind you, this isn't a guy I picture as actually living by these examples, but that's beside the point. :)

I think it is one of the scars in our culture that we have too high an opinion of ourselves. We align ourselves with the angels instead of the higher primates.

Civility is not a sign of weakness.
    -- John F. Kennedy

I particularly like the second one, and wish more people believed it.

In a chat room last night, I started talking to a girl who is currently a government employee, former employee of both SAIC and Lockheed Martin, and tomorrow will be passing my resume on to various manager friends who've been requesting resumes from her. And, she suggested I submit my resume to IntelligenceCareers.com--a site I'd visited before for a search, but hadn't submitted my resume to.

Recent additions to my friends list: euphoric1drSheela and chiteLynne! Sheela randomly surfed into my journal, Lynne apparently found me somehow through Realm of Redheads and/or through friendship with gingerdc9Jeannette, which I refuse to believe is a coincidence until proven otherwise. :)

Um. Apparently there was a shooting at the Sunoco station on Sudley Road, maybe two miles from my house. This may or may not be related to these sniper shootings in the DC area, hope they aren't, but either way it's disconcerting.

(I have no news link to back this up, my mom says they broke into NBC to mention it, details at 11.)

Update, 22:18: There we go, CNN.com Breaking News item. "Police investigating shooting death at gas station in Manassas, Virginia, as possibly linked to sniper attacks. Details to come."

    Update, 22:46: CNN.com article.

I'd just like to say that I'm glad I use DHS.org's forwarding services for my web addresses. Every link I ever made to a page or image under "n3.net" (skreidle.n3.net, skcomix.n3.net, etc) will always work, regardless of where I relocate my files to. All DHS.org does is then redirect those links to the appropriate location, currently under phpwebhosting.com; thus, I can modify the pointers at DHS.org whenever I move my home on the web and all links retroactively continue to work. :)
