David Bowie was on Conan--which had to be a rerun 'cause the guest was Colin Farrell from Minority Report, opening after the recording of that episode--and played one song, commercial break, played part of another.. and the studio cut off the end of Conan--and thus half of Bowie's 2nd song--to continue on to Access Hollywood. :P

In related news, I want to see Minority Report.

Short book review

Though I don't normally read multiple books simultaneously, I took a break from Atlas Shrugged to read two books on motorcycle skills, yesterday--start to finish, both of 'em. :)

In short: The Complete Idiot's Guide to Motorcycles is a good broad overview of the entire sport, from dirtbikes to superbikes, history, models, tips from buying to starting to handling, though rarely very deep. Proficient Motorcycling: The Ultimate Guide to Riding Well is a fantastic, in-depth discussion of handling and everything to keep in mind and practice for any kind of riding you might be doing, even why a motorcycle behaves like it does.

Now I just need to go practice some of the skills I read about, so I can pass the DMV skills test and get my motorcycle license..
