Well, that's an exciting start to the morning. :)

My mom woke me up for a phone call from a man at Quantum Resources, a staffing firm based in Richmond, VA.. he ran across my resume on Monster, and felt I might be a good match for a recently-opened contract position with American Systems Corporation working with non-lethal weapons systems. It looks to be a fairly short contract, perhaps up to 6 months, but there could be a possibility of a permanent position. He didn't know much about the company or the position as ASC just contacted QR a few days ago, but he wanted to send an original copy of my resume to them in case it's a good match. (The other guy interviewing for the position had an interview offered within 24hrs of QR's contact.)

Might be good, might just be neutral, but see? Online resume stuff -can- work! :)

Oh, the irony.

I was chatting with a person on IM that I met online earlier today, and as you may know I frequently save IMs--particularly the first time I talk with someone at length, and/or if they have something interesting to say. Knowing that AOL has been crashing on me recently, I attempted to pre-emptively save the IM since it was working fine..

It crashed AOL, and didn't save.
