Earlier today, I went out under the auspices of a bank run, which was indeed my first stop. Then, I went to the pet store in the mall, got crickets for my tarantula, and then to Tops, where I picked up steak. See, Jen's been wanting steak for a while now, but that's hard to pull off when there's none in the house. So I got some, came home, quietly pulled up to the other back door of the house, dropped the steak in the fridge, and then drove over to the other door at normal volume. Later, I told her I was making dinner, but she couldn't look until I was done. :)
So, dinner was strip steak with Canadian-style seasoning, and broccoli cheese pasta from a bag. Tasty! :)
In other news, my advisor received my report, and planned to look it over today.. in addition, though, he wants me to make a short video just showing the modified rowing machine in action, offload it to the computer, and send him a copy. Will do that soon.
Also, this afternoon, Jen&I&dogs went down to the gorge again, where the water is now low enough to safely wade all the way across.. low enough for humans and adult dogs, that is! Valkyrie got swept into the current at one point, but I was right there on her leash, so I rescued her and carried her to the shore, and later carried her back across that part. Unfortunately, later she started showing symptoms of water in one ear--head tilted to one side, shaking her head, whining, scratching at her ear. So I did a web search, and found that commercial ear-drying aids could be used (or, lacking that, a dilute vinegar or lemon juice solution)--so I fetched my tube of Auro-Dri, and let me tell you, she was none too happy about it being dripped into her ear. But hopefully it'll help, and she'll be fine. :)
Update, 9:30pm: HSN.com finally put through my $25 credit, so the tiny digital camera really only cost me $15! Unfortunately, I hear the coupon code from DealSpree.com has now expired..
