LJ temporarily rearranged the contents of my Friends Filters, but now they're back to normal with no changes on my part. That's potentially a bad thing, if they really got rearranged..

It's really freaking cold out.

I don't understand people. Yes, I'm biking, so that makes me a little colder than pedestrians. But the two square inches of skin I left uncovered (at my temples, the only area not covered by my mask and goggles) were painfully cold by the time I got home--and yet, there were plenty of people out there not wearing hats or anything else on their heads. Silly people.

ResNet had a staff meeting today, wherein I learned that I and one other guy had been promoted to Senior Consultant.. this is ordinarily a position one has to apply for, and I've been advised to apply before (by my boss and a student supervisor), but never got around to doing so--statement of purpose or some such that I never wrote. So this came as a pleasant surprise, as it carries negligible additional responsibilities, and a pay increase of $1/hr :) (I guess they just wanted more SCs, and I was one of the employees who's been around the longest..)

I've quite the lack of it here.
Ugly problem set due Wednesday.. two not-so-bad sets due Thursday.
And a quiz in the morning, which I'm more or less prepared for.
