Yeesh.. late night.
Dec. 9th, 2001 05:45 amAfter a late dinner and a good amount of computer playtime (as well as trying to help Laurel debug her code, thus far unsuccessful), Katia and I decided it was movie time.. however, as I have several movies in VHS format and the only VHS player is in the communal TV room, we were somewhat at the communal mercy. After waiting out Mitesh and Chris Yopp watching football, we showed up, Animal House in hand (she's never seen it.)
But we never actually watched it.. Spawn was on when we arrived, so we watched most of that--what a bad movie.. like, B-movie by TV movie standards. I'm sure it held some relevance to the comic, but damn, what a poorly-done movie.
Then Mortal Kombat came on, followed by Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (MK2). The first was pretty good--far better than Spawn, at any rate--good fight scenes, good special effects, right up until the end when it abruptly ended. The second had better action sequences, good special effects, a somewhat lamer plot, and as it ran something like 3-5am, I fell asleep and am not sure what I thought other than that. :) Good soundtracks on both, too.
