That was a lot of fun :)
Dec. 1st, 2001 01:16 amSaw The Winter's Tale at the CPA tonight with Katia.. rather entertaining, though I think I'd have to see it another time (or read it) to get some of the finer points. Great set (including apparently remote control rolling bits of scenery), some excellent acting (like the big black guy who played Death in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, which will likely mean nothing to any of you), some decent acting, some very funny parts.. good show.
Then, since we were all dressed nicely, we decided to go to Stella's instead of the usual Chapter House. Crowded, noisy, but very (self-described) swanky. Katia had a White Chocolate Martini and a Rita Mae, I had a Brandy Alexander and a Newton (spiced rum, triple sec, and apple cider in a sugar-rimmed martini glass--delectable!).. Couldn't do the Stella's thign too often, though--pricey! And then we came home. :)
