This makes me sad. :(
If there's one thing that bothers me above all else, it's intolerance and hate.
I've voiced my opinion on his recent "Gay Pride" post; if you're interested, go have a look and state yours. (No flames, that's not my intent.)
*sigh*
Note: Yes, my original post was rash. Some of my commentary, the same. I apologize.

Hi Scott,
Our supervisors finished crunching the numbers for the HelpDesk's
summer schedule. We were able to cover all our shifts using our
current staff. I'm sorry that your primary summer job fell through!
If we had shifts available, I definitely would have taken you aboard!
Thanks,
Celisa
...not that I was putting a whole lot of stock in that, anyhow.

Checkerboard Nightmare just isn't quite funny.
Parents are annoying sometimes.
Jun. 7th, 2001 11:02 pmSo as I mentioned previously, Lindsay's parents had to tell her a couple times to get to bed Tuesday night--but since we started the movie at ~9pm, we figured waiting the movie out would be alright. But then, of course, since we only get to see each other about annually, I hung around for a while longer, and she didn't go to bed until second warning.
Parental response? She says they "don't trust me now" because this happened once before. However, I think she convinced them that we're just friends (true) and that it was her own fault she didn't get enough sleep (partly mine, too, but I'd raise the point (between her and I, not to the parents directly) that parents really overestimate the amount of sleep their HS children need or get.. I know I aimed for 6hrs/night and usually missed, and continued the same through most of college. She went to bed when she got tired, which was of course a good bit later than her parents thought she should be in bed.)
At any rate, she thinks things will be ok, and I may be welcome to join her to hang out with some of her friends tomorrow night, pending maternal approval. Rar.
