Yay, Cornell!
Apr. 5th, 2001 11:11 amU.S. News & World Report's report on America's Best Graduate Schools:
Cornell's graduate schools of Engineering and Vet just placed in the top 10 in their fields, and Business, Medicine, and Law placed in the top 20.
So assuming I get into grad school here, it's all good. :)

Despite my morning, the rest of the day is going well :)
While at work, listened to some my my Gaelic tapes; Gaelic class went well; and when I got out around 4 it was abso-freakin'-lutely beautiful out, and no less than 6 frisbees, one volleyball, and later a baseball and a football, were in the air over the Arts Quad. So I climbed a tree, then climbed down and joined a group of frisbee-ers for the next hour15, till that Frisbee went home. Then I picked up my pictures from EndOfBreak/APOsectionals, and came home.
It's still beautiful out. :)
All I have to do now is finish my EE315 lab, go to my friend Joe Gregorio's senior honors concert in Barnes at 8, and go to work at 9..
=)

Apr. 5th, 2001 09:20 pmMeh, somewhat.
As I was working on my EE315 lab report after dinner, an old salesman type person stopped by the house to talk with the President (Oscar) and Treasurer (myself).. seems his company does incredibly detailed drawings of fraternities, suitable for giving to alumni and framing and whatnot, and since our house's 75th anniversary of construction is coming up next year, and our fraternity's 100th anniversary is coming up in 2005, these could be a good way to get more interest and money from our alumni. And, they're very well-done, from what we could see of the postcard-size reproductions. (The originals are of the 17x22" variety, and you can see grout lines between the bricks in even the small ones.)
But the annoying part was that he talked at us for the better part of 30-45 minutes, that I'd intended to spend working on the lab report, so when I then couldn't get the simulation working that I needed for the postlab, I had to give up and turn it in incomplete by 8pm.
However, then the evening got better cuz I went to hear the senior honors concert that my friend Joe Gregorio composed and arranged. (We met on Habitat Spring Break work trip 2000 in Richmond. He was formerly in Hangovers, is still in Glee Club, and plays piano, flute, and guitar.) He had composed three piano pieces that a girl played, and arranged several French folk songs that a piece of the women's Chorale sang to piano accompaniment. Then, even cooler, he and his dad each played guitar and sang another French folk song, the one that he first heard that got him interested in the genre.
Joe rocks. :)
Oh, and then I got to hear my mother complain that I'm spending too much money. :P
