Currently sitting on my bed.

It weighs 66.1lbs.

On the front it says IBM POWERdisplay 20.

It was free, and it doesn't work at the moment. However, if I can get it to work, I'll have a 20" monitor instead of my current 15" =)

(it was free so i took it)

However, if anyone wants to assist in finding documentation for it (ID: 26-N3916, P/N: 09G3281, manufactured in 1994, seems to a PS/1 based on the P/N) I'd be much obliged. I registered with IBM tech support to see if they could find anything for me, but that takes a while to go through.

And it's got Video (RGB) and Sync In (HD/VD) coax inputs. (And an 8-pin "Service" jack.) Funky. Hopefully, I can get it to work and find an adapter to use it. :) If not, all I've lost is a bit of time and labor..

Ricky points out that the Video inputs may indicate that it's a TV-style monitor (i.e., TV-grade resolution, which would suck), but I won't know for sure until I get some sort of documentation..

Sweet! From a guy I work with:

I have a D-sub 15pin to BNC (5 coax) cable if you want to try that...

You can't even access the Discussion Forums until you hand over a valid IBM Serial Number. Since my monitor only has an "ID", I'm submitting that and hoping it works.

Mind you, once you do this, you have access to all the discussion forums, not just the one(s) you own equipment pertaining to. Why the need to prove you're an IBM customer?

So we have a couple boarders in the house, who've really been nothing but trouble. First, they complain at length about problems with phone service, which is not mentioned in the contract--they have to deal with Verizon directly--to the point of filing a complaint the Student Management Corporation (the business that handles our finances and purchasing and such). Then, they complain about having to be out of the house for 2 hours at a time on the occasional evening (no more than 6 or so per semester, for fraternity events)--which is explicitly stated in the contract.

Then what do they do?

We had a party recently, big dance party on the main floor and kegs&punch down in the basement. Mind you, this is disallowed by the university--any parties with alcohol have to be catered by a university-approved caterer. We emailed the boarders inviting them to the party, and in it mentioned there would be alcohol.

So what do they do then? They forwarded it to the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs, and we get judicial sanctions against us. 4 weeks social probation (no parties) and 5hrs community service per brother.

And there's nothing we can really do to them. We have no legal grounds to terminate their contracts, except that they've been nothing but supreme pains in our collective ass.

A coworker recommended Monitor World for info on my monitor, and I found this! =)!
