Audition!

So Phill calls me at work last night, and asks me if I want to audition for his a cappella group, RL Six. 6:30pm Thursday, callbacks hypothetically at 7. So I stay up too late picking a song (eventually choose Sting, Fields of Gold), get the first couple hours of my 7-12 shift covered, and go audition..

Audition went well, I think.. had to take Matt Judge to go pick up the boombox they use for part of it (to sing along with The Cure's Just Like Heaven) first. Callbacks for myself and the 4 other guys who made the cut followed immediately thereafter, and I think those also went well.

I'll find out sometime in the 9-10pm hour by email (cuz I'm at work, the other guys get called.)

Here's hoping..

You know you've been in Ithaca too long..

when you actually think to yourself, "35? Good, it's not cold out" and reflect that really, nothing above freezing is particularly cold.

Democracy at work? Heaven forbid!

And, that's a negative.

I wasn't picked of the 5 guys called back for the newest member of Phill's a cappella group, RL Six, which is disappointing.

What really sucks about it, though, is that one of their primary reservations they had about me is that I'd be a grad student in the group next year. Like that makes a fucking difference.
