general updatage

hmm.. seems i haven't posted since tuesday. must rectify.

Bria: things seem to be going reasonably well, tho haven't progressed noticeably since last post.. on the things to which I invited her: turns out that due to workload she couldn't go to a Zaminy (& the Blue Start Folk Project) concert down on West Thursday night, so I made a copy of the Zaminy CD I have and dropped that off w/her as I was headed down there, hung out for 45min, then went to the show. good show, too :)
Earlier when she wasn't feeling well, I delivered Halls and then Chicken Noodle soup, too. aren't i sweet? (collective 'awww' is now appropriate)

right. unfortunately, she also declined my invitation to come to the informal reception at my house last night (pre-Homecoming) and to the semiformal banquet dinner tonight at the Country Club and following reception back at the house, claiming a) nothing to wear, and b) not doing well in smalltalk-over-cocktails environments; but, she did say she'd be at the tailgate party and game this morning/afternoon, and wanted to know if i'd be free any other time this weekend because "it feels weird not having seen you for over 24 hours". i take this as a good sign.
i still haven't heard back from my most recent mail for over 24hrs again, though. and nearing 48 on the one before that. ::pout::

House/Homecoming: reception last night went pretty well.. at least a dozen alums showed up, and it lasted from 7:30pm till after 1am, well-stocked bar/wines. I was quite disappointed to find that iDrink was down, and I had to make do with Bartender Magazine instead. :P
Today we had a 9am house/alumni meeting, there's an Alumni Board meeting going on right now; Suzy Nelson (head of frat/sorority affairs) coming at 11ish; tailgate party at 11:30, game vs. Yale at 2, dinner at the Country Club at 6, post-dinner reception back at the house at 9:30, and brunch tomorrow at 10am.. shoo. busy busy.

RoboHockey: organization progressing well; have the docs in hand from last couple years of RoboCup to review.. next meeting tuesday night, which'll lay out a lot of the groundwork for designing the team.

Reading material: ooh.. I can get a 1-yr sub to Playboy for $15. Did you know Dr. Ruth doesn't call Playboy pornography? I was amused by this..

miscellaneous class: Wines. German Reislings are good =)

I'm pleased to discover that iDrink is, in fact, still up. =) (Over 6000 drink recipes!)

afternoon report :)

that was a freakin' awesome game.. Homecoming, Cornell vs. Yale. We scored a touchdown to bring it from 17-23 to 24-23 at 2:15 left, and Yale had a failed field goal attempt with 0:02 on the clock.. yow.

And now to get ready for the semiformal banquet at the Country Club of Ithaca :)

..and, still haven't heard back from Bria. she and kristen didn't show at the tailgate, either. :(
