Cornell Night (lots of Cornell performing groups, one after another for 3hrs) rocked! (for the 4th year in a row--why else would I be an Orientation Counselor every fall? ...aside from wanting to help people out and meet new students :)
...of course, walking out and realizing, "shit, it's wednesday at 8:15, isn't it? i'm supposed to be at work at 8" and going there. oh well. work was pretty easy. and quite entertaining. it involved a large stuffed Pikachu :)

stuff and such

well, today's been.. interesting, so far.
was chatting with my academic advisor around noon, and he invited me to join him at Collegetown Bagels for lunch, his treat.. and who am I to turn down free food? *grins*

then, since my afternoon lab doesn't start for several weeks yet, I went and sat outside the student unions for an hour or so, waiting for people I knew to walk by, talking to the ones that did.

and then!

(background) Yesterday, as I was leaving work, I biked by a girl who looked very much like Jen Durdall. Most of the people reading this know her, but if you don't, she's a short, athletic, friendly, green-eyed redhead. She's also one of about three people I would still jump at the chance to date, that I met at TJ. (Bonus points if you can guess the other two, and if you're one of them, you're disqualified. Same goes if you're my best friend ;) Unfortunately (for me), Jen's going to VT this fall.

So I see this girl, and I seriously consider turning around and going back to introduce myself, solely because she looks like Jen. I didn't, though, and I kinda regret it.

Then she shows up outside the Straight today.. but I got caught up talking with another friend, and when she walked back out, well, I wasn't about to go follow her to introduce myself. Too sketchy. So, damn. Hope I see her again.

(And then, as I'm biking home, I see a girl with gorgeous red hair, so I stop by a set of stairs, talk to a friend who happens to show up there, and comment that I like her hair as she walks by. She was pleased, and walked on. She's someone I'd like to meet, though I have no way of finding her but random chance, which doesn't generally work very efficiently..)
