Dori apparently came by 120 around 5:40pm yesterday (when only Phill was there).. i showed up around 6, was told that he'd suggested she come back around 7 when people were there.. but, between 7 and 1am, she never stopped by. dammit. i was hoping to see her again, since i only saw her briefly on monday and not for a week previous. especially cuz i didn't even have anything to do tonight and it was a nice night out.. and i won't have much of any free time this weekend (and, IIRC, her parents are in town).
damn.

So since she never showed up again last night, I decided to try inviting her to do something this evening. There was a free concert on the Arts Quad, "Sunny Weather"--Roots Rock, Zydeco, and Reggae, which I left a message on her machine inviting her to. She left me a return message saying she couldn't go cuz she was going to dinner with a friend, and she'd call me when she got back from that. My machine indicated I was probably at 120, so she showed up there around 10:30pm or so, with her white trash friend that she brought along with us to go hiking the day we didn't go to Grass Roots. (He's a nice guy, and he lives in a nice house, but he just projects this aura of white trash.) We chatted for a minute, I went to use the bathroom, and when I came back they'd left.
What the fuck?
Is she just humoring my interest? She claims she enjoyed the time she spent with me before she went home (~1.5-2wks ago, which was the last time I saw her for longer than 5 minutes) but that I'd just been around too often and it was stressing her out. So I've been good, haven't sought her out, haven't even tried before today.. and she makes a token appearance?
I just don't get it. I'm not sure whether to just give up, or give it a rest until classes start (~3wks from now). ::sigh::
