well, it all depends on what's wrong with the drive, and obviously i can't tell without looking at it :)

basically, we've had some luck recovering data from drives that weren't recognized by macos, but were recognized by macdrive software for the pc. for some reason, drives seem to fail in such a way that macs can't see them, but this software can.

if the drive's not spinning up though, can't help you.
