Today, I:
Temporarily relocated the bird to the living room so the plasterers/painters could finish the kitchen.
Listened to a lot of Emmet Swimming.
IMed with Christine a lot.
Got another unemployment check. Woo, money!
Rode my motorcycle to the bank to deposit it, where it started to rain, so I donned a rain jacket over my gear.
Rode my motorcycle down to Coleman, where I picked up some O-ring chain lube. Along the way, the rain stopped, so I doffed the jacket and continued on my merry way. My bike is now quite dirty, thanks to the horde of dump trucks I had the misfortune to follow for a few miles. Perhaps I'll clean it tomorrow.
Cleaned and lubed the motorcycle's chain, since a) I hadn't done so since getting the bike, ~3500mi ago, and b) it was showing light corrosion. Discovered that "Won't Fly Off!" on this particular chain lube translates to "won't come off your hands without solvent and -then- soap." I cleaned my hands with WD-40 and then dish soap! However, I have no doubt about its ability to stay on the chain, and it's now dry to the touch on said chain.
Didn't get a call from Arnie at ADIC. Boo!
Yesterday at the grocery store, I fascinated a rambunctious little boy because I was clad in my riding gear, and he (and his slightly-less-rambunctious sister, and their cool dad) liked my bike. :)
