Hey, at least we don't have a basement or downstairs neighbor, and we're pretty sure the water was contained in our house. :)
His homeowner's insurance will cover everything but the plumbing, and the pipe repair itself shouldn't be too pricey. The plumbing should also get taken care of, oh, sometime today--good thing, because the house water can't be turned back on with a broken pipe--and the carpet, oh, soon. I think I'll go take a shower at Christine's. :)
