Steph--not the most rational, mature, or selfless person--thinks she'd feel like a third wheel if I was present.
On the surface, I don't think that's terribly unreasonable. Burgeoning romance can be the most potent and nauseating, and it can be difficult to navigate as the outside party.
Hey, at least she was honest about it instead of going along with it and moping the whole time. ;-)
