Inspection? What inspection?

Well, that was a largely fruitless afternoon. I headed out to the nearest Exxon/Mobil station around 1600 to get my truck inspected, only to find a sign saying, "Sorry, No State Inspections Today." I swore at the sign, and headed north to another E/M station (passing several busier stations along the way), found that I was next in line, waited a bit, gave up my truck, read a bit, and was told, "Sorry, you'll need to replace those security lug nuts before I can finish the inspection; they're old/worn/might break." Fortunately, at least, he hadn't removed my old sticker and didn't charge me.

Off to the nearby KMart, where they didn't have lug nuts. Back to Advance, right next to the first station, where I got a new set of security lug nuts, went to jack up the truck, and discovered the jack was low on oil. Back inside, got jack oil, topped off the jack, jacked up the truck a bit.. and couldn't get the lug nut off the first wheel I tried--too tight vs. the worn security key. Home I went.

Perhaps I'll stop by my parents' later and enlist my dad's assistance in changing the lug nuts, before swinging by Centreville to pick up Misty & Chris's ferrets.
