50 First Dates was very cute, funny, romantic, not very slapstick-y, better than I expected. :)

The season premiere of Nip/Tuck, on the other hand, was unimpressive. More surgical detail and less interesting plot than any episode from last season. Admittedly, as [livejournal.com profile] xviragox points out, the upcoming episodes look exciting. (Also, what's up with commercials in XM Radio? They swear up and down in their ads that they're 100% Commercial-Free, yet I've heard ads on several occasions while listening to music on XM. This isn't a non sequitur, incidentally--XM sponsored a commercial-free hour for Nip/Tuck.)

Outback Jack is full of the most obnoxious, petty, pampered socialites I've ever seen on a reality show, and that's saying a lot. Bleah. (On the other hand, it's funny to see them taken down a few pegs by being surprised with a flight to Australia and a parachute jump into the Outback, cut off from all modern amenities. Could be entertaining, but I doubt I'll give it that much of a chance.) (I take that back. Every time one of them talks, I want to stab my ears. Oh, the dilemma.) It's like Survivor, except Jack's the only one with any skills whatsoever! (My god, most of these women are such pansies. And Natalie's annoying and should've been eliminated. Summer, on the other hand--cocky. Good call on the elimination.)

Couple spots on Lucy's face I'm concerned about. If they're still there tomorrow, I plan to call a well-reviewed local avian vet, at least to ask about them.
