In last night's dream, I was escaping from an Asian prison (Brokedown Palace-style, only more successful) with a girl who resembled [livejournal.com profile] preciouslaura or [livejournal.com profile] subbes at various times. Prior to our escape, I was discussing various means of departure with [livejournal.com profile] macguyver, particularly aircraft--apparently the SR-71 has a propensity to break in half, one kind of stealth bomber would be infeasible, and another newer type hadn't yet been shown to the public to exist. Thus, our means of escape meant riding a missile out (Real Life-style), which we (girl and I) successfully did, bound for San Francisco. However, we still had the problem of getting off of the missile, which was naturally cruising fast and high. There was a small set of scientific equipment attached to the nose of the missile, the sort used for measuring windspeed and atmospheric pressure; we manage to break one useful bit off and lose it, but another bit proved handy--it included a smallish parachute, which managed to slow the missile down sufficiently that, by the time, we were approaching the SF Bay, we were traveling rather slowly. We jumped away from the missile, which fortunately didn't detonate in the bay; we hit the water without any injury--me by way of a surface-skimming dive, her by some other method--and decided to swim to shore and get out with no mention of how odd our arrival was. We did so, brushing off passers-by as we walked our soaking-wet selves to a nearby indoor mall, where we sat in a booth in the middle of a McDonald's-style restaurant and selected some food at the table from their very limited menu.

Curious.
