CSI&family goodness, late-night principles, the great JC, and ailments

Well, "half" of CSI:NY was an overstatement, since the TV was on from about 2135 to 2255 and I was talking to Sarah (cousin) for half of that time slot. Looked good from what I saw, anyway. (Siniseriffic!)

(During the SarahCall, we decided that Chris is our 1st cousin once removed, and Julia is our second cousin. :)

CU Stryker (0:50:03): i had to, you see, on principle. i wasn't especially hungry--more sore-throaty, plus chips and veggies from open bar earlier--but i have dinner plans the next two nights, and i can't let ribeye steak go to waste. :-)

Alas, minor sore throat, minor headache, runny nose / sinus congestion, all still present. Having tea with honey, as I have no meds available.

Bleahness, work fun, work freebies, and evening plans

Woke up with a less-sore throat, general achiness, and congestion; due to lack of available meds, had Lemon Zinger herbal tea with lemon. The well-stocked first aid kit at work offered pseudophedrine and ibuprofen; the break room offered Red Zinger herbal tea, sugar, and cream. By mid-day I had the Deep Voice of Congestion, and now I may be losing my voice--not sure yet.

Work today was lots of hands-on goodness, pseudo-installing one of the tape libraries, getting a tour of the manufacturing and logistics wing, and breaking down and rebuilding the tape library, with lunch at Chipotle with Jay/John/Julius in the middle. Tomorrow, complete the rebuild, take the test, do the troubleshooting lab, and class is over!

Ooh, I also got three ADIC polo shirts in different designs, and an ADIC acrylic water bottle. (Have to try on the shirts to see if I'm a Small or Medium--though two S and one M were all that were available at the time. :)

Tonight, dinner/drinks with Rachel, assuming I hear back from her at some point. :)
Update, ~15min later: Ha! It'd been such a long week, she forgot it was Thursday and that she was supposed to call. So, I'm off to her old apartment momentarily, where there's apparently good eatin' nearby. :)
